Years ironing
The one job you never have to think about again
Ironing is the household chore nobody misses. It eats an evening, it never quite ends, and the basket refills the moment you empty it. Chrissy's Ironing Service exists to take that job off your list entirely.
Run by Christine Cawthron from Methley, this is a small, personal service rather than a shopfront chain. Your bag is collected from your door, pressed by hand at a proper board, and returned the next day into your hands. No queueing, no drop-off, no dry-cleaning prices — just the ironing done properly by someone local who takes pride in it.

Six services, one very short to-do list
Most customers start with the standard household bundle and add bedding or workwear later. Every service includes free collection and delivery and the same 24-hour turnaround.
The price on the notepad is the price you pay
No membership, no joining fee, no per-mile delivery charge and no premium for a quick turnaround. Up to twenty everyday garments cost £15 — eighteen or twenty, the price is the same — and anything beyond that is 50p each.
Bedding is the only thing priced differently, and for good reason: a double duvet cover takes about as long as six shirts, so charging it as one item would be unfair on everyone else. Sets are £5 for a double or king and £3 for a single.
Not sure how many items you have?
There is nothing for you to count. Everything is counted here at the board, and you get a call with the price and a delivery time before anything comes back to you.

Three steps, and none of them are yours
From the moment you book to the moment it is back in the wardrobe, the only thing you have to do is leave the bag out.
We collect
Pick a day and a one-hour window. Leave your bag on the doorstep, in the porch or with a neighbour — you do not need to be in.
We iron
Everything is pressed by hand to its care label, folded as it is finished, and checked over before it comes back to you.
We deliver
Back at your door the next day, pressed and folded. We call you first to agree a delivery time and the price, then you pay once you have seen the work.
Want the detail — cut-off times, what to leave your bag in, what happens if you are out?
See the full processSmall enough to care, organised enough to rely on
There are cheaper ways to get ironing done and there are faster ones. What keeps people here is that the same person answers the phone, collects the bag, presses the shirts and hands them back.
More reasons to choose usOne pair of hands, start to finish
Every order is ironed by Chris personally. Nothing is sent out to a third party, so the standard never wobbles and you always know exactly who has handled your clothes.
Pricing that has not moved
Up to twenty items for £15 and 50p thereafter — the same rate customers were quoted two years ago. No fuel levies, no seasonal surcharge, no minimum spend.
Insured and accountable
The service carries public liability cover. On the rare occasion something goes wrong, you hear about it on delivery rather than discovering it later.
Genuinely 24 hours
The turnaround is the promise, not an upsell. Orders collected in the morning, any day of the week, are almost always back with you by the same time the next day.
Ten years of ironing, and still mostly word of mouth
Almost every new customer arrives because someone in their street, salon or school run recommended us.
“I work shifts and my husband is on nights, so the ironing pile just kept growing. Chris collects on a Tuesday morning and it is back Wednesday, pressed and folded, before I have even noticed it gone. It has genuinely given us our Sunday evenings back.”
“Four kids means four sets of school uniform, and I had completely given up. The 20-item bundle covers our week almost exactly. Everything comes back better pressed than I ever managed, and the price has not moved once.”
“Three beds in this house and I have never once got a duvet cover looking right. Chris does the lot now. Everything comes back pressed flat and folded so neatly it goes straight onto the shelf, and changing the beds has turned into a five-minute job.”
“Six stylists, six sets of blacks, every single week. It comes back sorted and labelled by name so the girls just grab theirs. One invoice at the end of the month and I never have to think about it. Best decision I made for the salon.”
